Female hair loss remedy - know your options before you waste your money! by Jill B
Hair Loss Remedy in Woman: Too many hair loss products are just a waste of time and money. Here's what you should know about finding a low cost, highly effective female hair loss remedy that suits you, not the global corporations!
If you are considering a remedy for hair loss, there a few things to consider so you get the right remedy for your needs.
Many people consider turn to lesser known remedies each and every day. They can often work out cheaper than some of the top brands that you might find at your local pharmacy or clinic.
I would like to take this opportunity to briefly explain what your options are and how you too can finally find a female hair loss remedy that does exactly what it should. If you keep reading, you will also find a nice little tip that I have organized especially for my readers (that will be you then!). Please note this is part one of two articles.
This article explains medicinal and prescription based remedies, the second article "Female hair loss remedy - a home remedy for female hair loss" will explain exactly what to do to find alternative (and cheaper) natural remedies. This article is available on my website which can be found at the end of this article.
Approved medicinal treatments Usually only available via prescription, medicinal treatments can be largely effective - if not rather expensive. Your doctor will normally suggest various treatments available. There are some medicinal treatments that are available over the counter, such as -
Minoxidil based products.
Minoxidil is the active ingredient in almost all of the hair loss products on the mainstream market. There are some side effects that have been recorded such as scalp irritation and itching. Usually however, products that incorporate this ingredient in their treatment are reasonably effective.
Using this treatment long term will add up in costs though. Minoxidil is manufactured by many different companies such as Xandrox, Tricomin (who tend to focus on shampoos and conditioners) Headway 5, Equate, Bausch & Laumb to name a few. These are the bigger brands if you choose to go down this more costly route.
Shampoos
There are numerous shampoos available on the market today. Here is a list of some of the common forms -
Aqua Glycolic Shampoo Biotin Shampoo COUVRé Thickening Shampoo Dercap/Aminexil Shampoo Hair Genesis Shampoo & Conditioner Nano Shampoo Nioxin Shampoo Progaine 2-in-1 Shampoo/Conditioner Silica Shampoo Tricomin Shampoo & Conditioner
These shampoos don't actually promote hair growth however, but its' worth noting that there are many shampoos on the market such as the ones above that can help build volume without damaging the fragile hair any further.
Hair loss concealers
There are also hair loss concealer products that you can look for. These can help, providing you have enough hair left to actually apply the product to! If so, try asking your local beauty store, clinic or pharmacy to see what products are easily available to purchase.
