Aside from wigs or transplants as a method of stopping hair loss, there are several alternative hair loss treatments available. All vary in price and method, ranging from doing them in a persons home, to going to a specialist clinic.

Saunas and steam treatments seem to achieve the same results by allowing pores to open and letting waste be expelled from the pores The bathroom can be used with the application of hot towels on the scalp and the product there to help with the process. Another option is to visit a real sauna that allows the whole body to benefit from the treatment.

A treatment, which uses a high frequency current to massage the scalp cells in order to stimulate the surface of the scalp, is called high frequency alternative treatment. This treatment helps in nurturing the cells and excites the circulation of blood and also the local glandular activity. To add to this, the treatment also provides the necessary heat to the scalp cells and pacifies the nervous system of the scalp.

The process of using lasers to start the growth of hair is a relatively recent invention. The patient is seated, and treated to a small charge through the top of his head. This treatment supposedly electrifies the cells, resulting in hair growth. Unfortunately the resulting bill is rather expensive, and may take two to three dozen sessions.

Scalp massage aids in allowing medicine to saturate the scalp and is used to make the scalp more loose. In addition, scalp massage is alleged to stimulate the blood supply on the surface. The assertion is that embryonic hair grows from materials that are carried by the exact system of blood capillaries.

Most clinics have their own offering of hair shampoos, conditioners and tonic. Top performing clinics sell months worth of treatments selling these products as a package. The products can be expensive and oftentimes they are not worth the money spent on them. If a person decides to use these as an alternative to other hair loss treatments, he should ask for the three main ingredients that make up the product. It's best to ask a physician to see if the ingredients listed are effective for hair loss. If possible, see if you can get a free sample. Any clinic that is hesitant to provide sample might not have faith in its own products. Beware of these types of clinics.
